Celebrating 20 Years - Part 4: The Big Move...the Rebrand

During the first 12 years of this company, we were based in the Tarrant County suburb of Colleyville, TX.
On a personal level, it was an ideal situation for me because that community offered a number of benefits for my children. But in 2011, with my children now grown, I decided it was time to make a change and I moved to Dallas.
My youngest son had graduated from college and joined the team at Stream Realty. I asked him to help me find a new office within walking distance from my new home. We looked at various buildings and landed on the top floor of 3500 Oak Lawn—and have been here ever since. It is the perfect office space—vibrant, wonderful views, great parking, and superb walkability. Over the years we have hosted many speakers and clients in our space.
Around the same time, we made another very important strategic decision for our agency. Up until that point, we had operated as Gail Davis & Associates, which was our corporate name. I knew that name was a mouthful, but even more importantly, the focus on my name as the business name was creating a desire among some clients to only work with me. We changed to a DBA (doing business as) and started to brand ourselves as GDA Speakers.
The new office, the new brand and the new website created a new energy for GDA which helped move us to the next level of growth.
