GDA Podcast Recap | Herb Meyer Episode 4

Gail Davis, 23 May 2017

Herb Meyer served in Ronald Reagan's Administration as Special Assistant to the Director of Central Intelligence and Vice Chairman of the CIA's National Intelligence Council. In these positions, he managed production of the US National Intelligence Estimates and other top-secret projections for the President and his national security advisers. He is widely credited with being the first senior US Government official to forecast the collapse of the Soviet Union and the end of the Cold War -- a forecast for which he later was awarded the US National Intelligence Distinguished Service Medal, which is the Intelligence Community's highest honor.  I really enjoyed the episode with Herb.  His experience in politics provide great perspective and understanding of current events.   There is no wonder why Herb is a sought after speaker for audiences that want to engage discussions on world events.  Listen and enjoy.
