Account Manager

GDA Speakers, a dynamic company driven by the most insightful team in the speaking industry is seeking an Account Manager to join our growing team. The Account Manager will work closely with the Vice President of Sales to assist in achieving maximum sales profitability, growth, and account penetration by effectively selling our services as a world-class speakers’ bureau. The Account Manager offers integral support to the VP of Sales, helping drive the team to meet or exceed established sales targets. The primary focus of the Account Manager is to maintain existing client relationships by providing a powerful customer service experience by maintaining strong, long-lasting customer relationships, initiating continuous follow-up, and helping the VP of Sales complete client proposals.

  • A dynamic, goal-driven professional with 1-3 years of sales or customer service experience (experience in the speaking industry a major plus)
  • A customer service champion – you not only help your team retain clients but also work with new clients and help close new deals
  • A professional, clear and proficient communicator through email, phone calls, various marketing and in-person and virtual events

As the Account Manager, your day to day will include:

  • Maintaining sales pipeline hygiene on all opportunities in our proprietary back-office software with accurate event dates, close dates, and numbers, in an effort to ensure achievement of sales targets
  • Staying in continuous contact with existing clients, through email, phone calls, various marketing and events
  • Assisting your VP and team in handling contracts, client and speaker follow up, and logistics including speaker availability, fee information, and real-time record upkeep.
  • Ensuring all communications reflect favorably with and complement the GDA Speakers brand
  • Working cross-functionally with the marketing, operations, and logistics teams to provide a seamless client experience.
  • Providing consistent, accurate, and timely client and speaker contracts utilizing internal tools and DocuSign software.
  • Being a source of knowledge and a “persuasive storyteller” when referencing speakers in client communication.
  • Demonstrating your ability to build and sustain long-term relationships through consultative selling methods to help the GDA team build a status of “trusted partner” with clients.
  • Quickly assessing and expediting the resolution of client problems and complaints.
  • Being a strong second leader on your team - being able to effectively fill in for the Sales Agent as needed through team collaboration and learned job experience.

Required Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • At Least Two (2) Years of professional experience working in a collaborative office environment

Expected Hours:

  • Full time, 40+ hours

Compensation:

  • Salary commensurate with experience

Event & Sales Coordinator

GDA Speakers, a dynamic company driven by the most insightful team in the speaking industry is seeking an Event & Sales Coordinator to join our growing team. The successful Event & Sales Coordinator works closely with the Senior Operations Manager and Sales Team(s) to support a powerful customer service experience by maintaining strong, long-lasting customer relationships and increasing efficiency and productivity for the team. The primary focus of the Sales Coordinator role is to support the sales teams through the management of administrative tasks associated with the sales cycle  The primary focus of the Event Coordinator role is to serve as the primary point of contact with clients once the event is 60 days out. This position works collaboratively with Sr. Operations Manager, Sales Team, Marketing & Speaker Relations to establish and maintain long-term, consultative relationships with clients to increase loyalty.

As the Event & Sales Coordinator, your day to day will include: 

  • Organize, manage, document, and communicate all logistics as appropriate in a timely and accurate manner. 
  • Organize and schedule pre-conference calls between the speaker and the client, if agreed to by all parties or contractually required.
  • Create thorough and accurate event summary documents that reflect all of the major aspects and details in a timely manner.
