Sherika Ekpo (she/her), a native of the D.C. Metropolitan area, is a passionate diversity, equity, and inclusion leader with nearly 20 years of experience in strategic human capital consulting and management. With over 15 years of experience in Human Resources and Talent Management within Fortune 500 companies, federal government, and the tech industry, Sherika Ekpo is a community builder, motivational speaker, and architect of the S.E.E. Movement which focuses on inclusive leadership strategy, diverse team creation and the empowerment of women to discover, expand and achieve their career goals. Over the course of her career, Sherika has worked at not only Google, but JPMorgan Chase, General Electric, and the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. In 2021, Sherika joined Anaplan as the inaugural Chief Diversity and Inclusion Officer. Her contributions in diversity, equity and inclusion have been honored with several professional and community awards.
Sherika possesses a diverse set of skills in talent acquisition, employee retention, data analysis, and strategic communication. She designs and executes workplace diversity programs and product inclusion strategies that contribute to an organization's bottom line. She is a skilled speaker, facilitator, and diversity champion who provides subject matter expertise to senior executives using evidence-based best practices to drive results.
Sherika is a proud graduate of Howard University (BBA) and University of Maryland's Smith Business School (MBA). She is also a wife and mother of three.
