Sabrina is a motivational speaker, domestic violence survivor, a single mother of four and Gigi to five amazing grandchildren. One of her children, DeAndre Hopkins, plays for the Houston Texans. Sabrina has overcome multiple tragic life events, such as being a rape victim, losing two brothers - one of whom died because of a domestic dispute, and losing a fiancé. She finds herself in the position to empower others. In 2002,Sabrina was a victim of an attempted murder on her life where 17% of her body was burned, leaving her on life support, needing multiple skin grafts, and blind for three years. Sabrina aspires to be a world-renowned inspiration to women, standing in the gap for battered and abused women. She is a visionary and talented leader whose passion is to help those who have experienced forms domestic violence overcome their struggles and triumph to lead fulfilling and productive lives. She is inspired by the loyalty that is demonstrated by the women in her organization, with everyone rallying behind the same cause in a cohesive manner. As she embarks on this journey, Sabrina understands the growing magnitude of the issue and believes that any intervention should include strategies to mitigate future violence. Her vision to create an established venue that provides ongoing assistance where victims can transition to the next phase of their lives which is of utmost importance. Her work in this area will undeniably be powerful in the fight against domestic abuse. To her children and grandchildren, she desires to leave a legacy that transcends time -- one of goodness, faith, character, and strength!
