Ann hosted a workshop in my coworking space with a small group of entrepreneurs and business owners. She led an amazing session that allowed us to focus on the immediate values that direct our lives. She provided tools to dig deeper into those values, and, most importantly, she gave us the space and time to be completely honest with ourselves without judgment. We hope to have Ann in the space again soon, and we really appreciate her vision and the work she does.
If I had to describe Ann's talk in 3 words it'd be - engaging, challenging, and inspiring. Ann challenged us to reflect on our individual core values and provided real-world examples as to the how these core values are drivers in our personal and professional lives. Ann provided the space, energy, and guiding light for us to reflect and understand ourselves in a way I doubt any of us had done before. By the end of her talk, I felt not only motivated to reassess my own core values but also equipped with the practical tools to align my core values with how I conduct myself at work and at home to bring out the most effective version of myself!

Ann Sheu presented a keynote titled "Are You Running Your Business or Is It Running You?" as part of the Edwin L. Cox Business Leadership Center's programming for Cox MBA students...BLC instructors are business leaders drawn from prominent national and international companies, who come to the SMU campus to share their extensive knowledge with Cox students. BLC Instructors include representatives from Mpowered, AT&T, Bank of Texas, PepsiCo, Texas Instruments and many more...many students say that the BLC was a major factor in their decision to attend Cox. Ms. Sheu earned a Business Leadership Teaching Excellence Award for her presentation, which means that the students attending rated the seminar as a 4.8 or higher out of a possible “perfect” rating of 5.
